Chapter 4: Hugo & Jones

Chapter: 3 EPQ

For my EPQ, I am starting a script. Which is about two detectives that are animals with human features. It is called Hugo & Jones.

Through out the week I shall be researching on different ways to write scripts and  different writing techniques when setting the scene.

My aim to finish this research would be by the end of next week, I will be posting research content on here soon.

Chapter 2: Some Fancy Art Work

I began digitally drawing this when I was on my break at college, at the time, things were becoming stressful and I was at the tipping point of thinking that I wouldn't get through the year. My friend especially, who in fact dropped out of college because of being overwhelmed of all the work. And so, I thought I'll draw something that represents of what stress and the feeling of everything collapsing feels like on you.

EPISODE 1

On the outskirts of Whiterun, two guards are standing outside the front gate, over watching the citizens and admiring the beautiful view of the mountains and forests which were far as the eye can see.

Dave:  My cousin's out fighting dragons, and what do I get? Guard duty.

Phil: Whoa, you have me though.

Dave: Well yeah, but all we do is stand here and wait for something to happen. I mean, when was the last time something exciting happened in Whiterun?

Phil: Well there was that one time when-

Suddenly, a citizen comes running past the guards in a panic and shouts:

Citizen: DRAGON!

All the citizens around the two guards scream and shout in horror, as a colossal shadow looms over Whiterun. The two guards remain standing, looking as if they are not bothered.

Phil: Yeah, that. . .

Dave: What are we going to do?!

Phil: UM. I DON’T KNOW. They didn’t say what to do when a dragon appears!

Dave: Okay okay, don’t panic. Let’s wait till we are given orders. I’m sure it won’t be something dangerous.

Not long after, the captain of the guards with the company of the city guards and a strange looking person run past the two guards. The captain stops and turns to Phil and Dave.

Captain of the Guard: Come on you two, we have a dragon to kill!

Phil: ‘Let’s wait till we are given orders’ you said, ‘it won’t be something dangerous’ you said. Wow.

Dave: I’m sorry; I didn't know this was going to happen!

Dave and Phil run alongside the guards, quickly heading towards a stone tower which was outside Whiterun.

Phil: Where is this fucker?

Dave: I don’t know but I have a funny feeling that something is going to happen. Phil, if I die, I need to tell you something.

Phil:

Dave: I slept with your mother last week.

Phil:

Dave:

Phil: Wat.

Dave: I was drunk, she was drunk, it just, happened. I’m so so sorry man.

Phil: Wha—Who--- Why tell me this now?!

Dave: Just in case we do die and-

Phil: Dave. For the love of god, do not, I repeat, do not say that.

Dave: Say what?

Phil: You know. . .

Phil leans into Dave.

Phil: (Whispers) the ‘D’ word.

Dave: What?

Phil: (Sighs) the ‘D’ word!

Dave: Ooooooooooooooooh. . . 

Phil: Yeah?

Dave: No.

Phil: Ugh, dead you idiot!

Dave: Oh right. Well we are gonna die so I thought, you know, say something that’ll regret if I died.

Phil: You’ll wish you were dead, come here you bastard!

Phil rugby tackles Dave to the ground, punching his face in with anger. However, whilst this is going on, a dragon swoops down and lands on the stone tower, blasting out fire around the guards and the captain. Phil and Dave don’t take notice as they continue to fight.

Dave: It was once, I swear!

Phil: I don’t care!

Phil punches Dave square in the face but suddenly, out of nowhere, the strange looking wonderer jumps on the dragon’s back and stabs it, directly on the head, causing the dragon to fall to its death. Phil and Dave take notice and stop fighting.

Dave: What a show off.

Phil: Yeah, I could have done that with my eyes closed.

Captain of the Guard: You two, I am very disappointed. Fighting with each other at a time like this! Go back to Whiterun and pack your things!

As the dragon lays dead, it’s scales and flesh are soon absorbed by the mysterious person, everyone in the scene takes notice and is surprised.

Whiterun Guard 1: You must be a dragon born!

Phil and Dave, ignoring about the news of the mysterious person, walk slowly back to Whiterun not saying a word to each other. As they get there, they go to the guards’ tower and head to their rooms. They begin packing their bags.
